
Principal DevOps Engineer – Build, Release and Cloud Automation

Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of CI/CD architecture for platform-based software development across R&D.
- Build and continuously improve scalable build, release, packaging, deployment, and environment automation for Windows, Linux, and AWS-based systems.
- Create maintainable build systems for C/C++, C#, and Python projects and modernize legacy Jenkins-based delivery pipelines.
- Implement infrastructure as code and configuration, package, artifact, and deployment management automation.
- Integrate engineering workflows with IT, CloudOps, QA, and security toolchains.
- Implement monitoring, metrics, alerting, and automated reporting for build, test, release, and deployment processes.
- Design and maintain Windows installers, Linux packages, deployable system images, and controlled build environments.
- Support third-party software lifecycle management, including license tracking, dependency upgrades, version planning, and integration.
- Automate SAST, SCA, DAST, secrets scanning, artifact scanning, and related security controls within CI/CD.
- Contribute to DevOps operating models, release engineering practices, and delivery governance.
Requirements
- Master of Science in STEM or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of experience in DevOps, build and release engineering, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, or software delivery engineering.
- Proven experience designing CI/CD architectures for complex, multi-language software environments.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Jenkins, AWS delivery services, Terraform, and Git/GitHub workflows.
- Deep knowledge of build orchestration, release engineering, artifact lifecycle, traceability, and deployment strategies.
- Experience with C/C++, C#, and Python build and packaging tools such as MSBuild, CMake, make, pip, and Poetry.
- Experience with Windows installers, Linux packaging, software deployment automation, configuration management, package management, dependency management, and software supply chains.
- Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, PowerShell, and/or Bash.
- Experience integrating workflows with SAST, SCA, DAST, secrets scanning, and artifact or dependency scanning tools.
- Experience with monitoring, observability, and engineering reporting platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, and SonarQube.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across R&D, IT, CloudOps, QA, and security teams.
- Preferred experience includes hybrid developer workstation, instrument, on-premises, and AWS environments; software license management; artifact repositories; deployment image creation; and MLOps or DataOps workflows.
