Responsibilities
- Apply mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, and optimization algorithms to complex manufacturing challenges.
- Transform operational data into actionable decisions affecting factory throughput, supply chain strategies, and cost reduction.
- Develop and use simulation models and machine learning methods for operational analysis.
- Build GenAI applications with agents and agentic workflows, when applicable.
- Support distributed LLM training and inference using cloud, orchestration, and computing tools, when applicable.
- Explain complex statistical and mathematical theories to non-technical stakeholders through clear communication and presentations.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or PhD in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Management Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Gurobi, CPLEX, CP-SAT, Pyomo, and GAMS or comparable optimization solvers and modeling languages.
- Hands-on experience with Arena, FlexSim, SimPy, and AnyLogic or comparable simulation platforms.
- Experience with PyTorch and Scikit-learn.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Preferred experience building GenAI applications with agents and agentic workflows.
- Preferred experience with LLM and LMM development and fine-tuning.
- Preferred proficiency with GenAI tools such as Claude Code and Roo Code.
- Familiarity with distributed computing, cloud infrastructure, and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, Apache Airflow, Docker, Conductor, and Ray.
