Responsibilities
- Build and extend Hex’s API and CLI for sophisticated technical users.
- Design MCP server and client implementations to expand capabilities.
- Implement a next-generation access control system with RBAC.
- Own full-stack product changes from backend to admin-facing workflows.
- Propose and implement scalable systems in collaboration with the team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend or full-stack software engineering experience.
- Skilled at building complex systems with intricate business logic.
- Experience in developing agentic workflows involving disparate systems.
- Strong communication skills in a remote-first team environment.
- Familiarity with enterprise integrations like SSO and MFA.
- Strategic mindset balancing business goals with engineering excellence.
- Willingness to make changes anywhere in the stack.
