Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, migrate, deploy, and support enterprise Workforce and Digital Channels web applications.
- Build frontend applications with React.js, JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, and backend services with Node.js and Koa.js, Express.js, or equivalent frameworks.
- Develop and integrate REST APIs, BFF services, and API orchestration flows using API-first and OpenAPI concepts.
- Create secure cloud-native solutions using Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps, Azure Kubernetes Service, and Redis.
- Perform unit and integration testing, code reviews, debugging, production incident investigation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Contribute to requirements gathering, solution design, release and change management, Agile delivery, and planned deployments.
- Support technical decisions, stakeholder management, and junior developer mentoring at senior levels.
Requirements
- Experience developing enterprise web applications at the relevant seniority level.
- Experience across frontend and backend software development and application modernization.
- Experience working in an Agile delivery model.
- Knowledge of React.js, JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS, Node.js, Koa.js or Express.js, REST APIs, OpenAPI, BFF architecture, and API integration.
- Knowledge of Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps, Azure Kubernetes Service, Redis, OpenID Connect, secure coding, testing, debugging, Git, Visual Studio Code, Bruno, and npm.
- Professional English proficiency at C1 level is mandatory; French and/or Dutch is advantageous.
- Strong teamwork, communication, customer orientation, adaptability, and willingness to support production activities and deployments.
- Must be based in Lisbon or Portugal and hold a valid Portuguese work permit or EU/Schengen nationality.
- Experience supporting production applications, incidents, and releases is valued.
- Banking, financial services, regulated-environment experience, Mendix knowledge, and AI-assisted software engineering experience are advantageous.
