Responsibilities
- Design large-scale enterprise solutions that integrate disparate technologies, software applications, processing platforms, and software products.
- Translate customer IT needs and future goals into complex technology solutions for Army and DoD environments.
- Lead cloud migration, advanced technology integration, legacy modernization, and modern enterprise software delivery efforts.
- Implement security controls and apply modern system architecture principles to scalable enterprise solutions.
- Author logical and physical network diagrams, technical specifications, and system installation procedures for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Manage technical delivery and modernization efforts across government or commercial environments.
- Support business development by architecting enterprise systems and aligning solutions with government evaluation criteria and statements of work.
- Mentor software developers and provide project, task, and team leadership.
- Identify opportunities for growth and help shape the digital solutions business.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience designing large-scale enterprise solutions, integrating disparate technologies, and implementing security controls.
- 8+ years of experience analyzing and designing complex IT solutions involving multiple software applications, processing platforms, and software products.
- 5+ years of experience with cloud computing platforms, including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience authoring technical artifacts such as network diagrams, technical specifications, and system installation procedures.
- Experience with modern system architecture principles, including microservices, enterprise software modernization, and digital transformation.
- Experience with business development, enterprise architecture, government evaluation criteria, and statements of work.
- Experience managing technical delivery in DoD, federal government, or commercial environments.
- Secret clearance and eligibility for access to classified information.
- Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of software engineering experience, or 8+ years of software engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
- Preferred experience working closely with software development teams and evaluating architectural tradeoffs for scalable service-based applications.
- Preferred experience with full-stack development in a professional enterprise environment and knowledge of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS models.
- Preferred experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications using Agile methods.
- Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills are preferred.
- A master's degree and AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud certification such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate are preferred.
