Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive, performant user interfaces using TypeScript, React.js, CSS, and modern frontend technologies.
- Implement scalable state management using Redux or Redux Toolkit.
- Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and authentication providers through OAuth-2 and SSO.
- Develop reusable UI components and maintain a component Storybook.
- Translate requirements and UI/UX designs into user-friendly web experiences in collaboration with designers, backend developers, and product owners.
- Optimize applications for speed, scalability, technical feasibility, and consistent visual and functional quality.
- Write unit and integration tests for frontend components and applications.
- Participate in code reviews, mentor junior team members, and improve frontend development processes and practices.
- Ensure solutions and processes support audit requirements and coordinate with Business Information Security Officers and Technology Information Security Officers.
- Own project components or initiatives from conception through deployment and contribute to operational process improvements.
Requirements
- Relevant frontend engineering experience with a strong focus on UI development.
- Experience working in a large, complex, or global environment, preferably in financial services.
- Ability to manage technical projects or significant project components effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in technical contexts.
- Understanding of software design principles, frontend architecture, and analytics tools.
- Strong analytical, diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, take ownership, and operate effectively in a matrix environment with virtual teams.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines and changing requirements in a fast-paced development environment.
- Experience with TypeScript, React.js, Redux, Redux Toolkit, CSS, client-side React routing, RESTful APIs, OAuth-2, SSO, Webpack, Vite, Git, frontend testing frameworks, Storybook, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or similar testing tools.
- Bachelor’s or university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Next.js, Gatsby, Recoil, Zustand, Jotai, web application performance optimization, WebSockets, or Python is preferred.
