Base Salary
$97k - $208k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software capabilities for mission-focused command-and-control applications.
- Build backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot while contributing across the full stack.
- Support integration, upgrades, and modernization of operational mission software.
- Troubleshoot software issues, improve reliability, and enhance the end-user experience.
- Collaborate with software, systems, and mission partners in a multidisciplinary development environment.
- Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD workflows, and containerized deployments.
- Mentor early-career engineers as a preferred responsibility.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with 4 years of relevant experience; 10 or more years of directly related experience may substitute for a degree.
- Experience developing software in Java and building applications with Spring Boot.
- Experience with front-end development using React and TypeScript.
- Experience designing or integrating RESTful web services.
- Experience with unit testing and software quality practices.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or a similar relational database management system.
- Experience in Agile software development environments such as SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban.
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
- Active Top Secret clearance and ability to obtain and maintain SCI access.
- Preferred experience includes microservices architectures, AWS or AWS GovCloud, Angular, TypeScript, CSS/SCSS, HTML, space or defense systems, and mentoring early-career engineers.
