Responsibilities

  • Talk with users and internal teams to identify friction in creating, testing, evaluating, and discovering RL environments and turn findings into product priorities.
  • Design, prototype, ship, and iterate product improvements across HUD’s platform and marketplace.
  • Build clear interfaces and workflows for agent runs, evaluation results, reward signals, and quality feedback.
  • Develop frontend and backend functionality for vendor onboarding, environment submission, review, and discovery.
  • Use user feedback and product signals to evaluate outcomes and make product, design, and engineering tradeoffs.

Requirements

  • Record of shipping software products end-to-end from user problem discovery through implementation and iteration.
  • Strong product judgment, including problem definition, scope setting, and tradeoffs with incomplete information.
  • Interaction design skills and a focus on clarity and usability in complex technical workflows.
  • Full-stack engineering ability covering polished web interfaces and supporting backend services or APIs.
  • Comfort speaking directly with users and using qualitative feedback and product data to improve products.
  • Clear communication and ability to collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, researchers, and other partners.
  • Preferred experience includes developer tools, data-rich products, marketplaces, distinct user groups, AI agents, evaluations, reinforcement learning, training data, review workflows, debugging, or quality feedback.
  • Technical aptitude and learning potential are prioritized over a specific number of years of experience.
