Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders, technology leaders, development teams, and vendors to define technology roadmaps and scalable commerce architectures.
- Lead architecture and delivery of complex B2B and B2B2C commerce solutions integrated with ERP, CRM, PIM, and other enterprise systems.
- Provide technical leadership through solution design, architecture reviews, code reviews, governance, and software development lifecycle oversight.
- Develop and support SAP Commerce Cloud applications and platforms, including administration, deployments, upgrades, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and environment management.
- Design and support APIs, middleware, event-driven architectures, microservices, composable commerce, and headless commerce ecosystems.
- Lead proof-of-concept initiatives, evaluate emerging technologies, and recommend modernization strategies.
- Oversee technical work by internal teams, implementation partners, and vendors while mentoring architects, developers, and technical teams.
- Support global, multi-region commerce operations with a focus on scalability, reliability, performance, incident management, and root-cause analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise applications, digital commerce, solution architecture, software engineering, or related technical fields.
- Deep expertise with SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris), including architecture, data models, integrations, administration, deployments, upgrades, environment management, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and support.
- Strong knowledge of B2B and B2B2C commerce processes, including catalogs, pricing, ordering, fulfillment, customer accounts, and order-to-cash operations.
- Hands-on development experience with Java, Spring Framework, SAP Commerce Cloud, and SAP Business Technology Platform.
- Experience with APIs, middleware, SAP Integration Suite (SCI/CPI), event-driven architectures, microservices, composable commerce, and headless commerce.
- Experience with SAP Commerce Cloud tools and processes including FlexibleSearch, HAC, ImpEx, code deployments, release management, provisioning, backup and restore, environment refreshes, user administration, and platform governance.
- Experience integrating commerce platforms with ERP, CRM, PIM, and other enterprise systems in complex global environments.
- Understanding of cloud architecture, networking, security, databases, identity management, enterprise infrastructure, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile software delivery methodologies.
- Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder management, troubleshooting, incident management, root-cause analysis, mentoring, and technical governance skills.
- Experience with manufacturing, consumer products, distribution, or global commerce-focused organizations is preferred.
- Ability to travel as needed and manage multiple strategic initiatives and complex technology programs.
