Base Salary
$91k - $186k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build, test, validate, and deploy security controls for Azure resources and AWS services.
- Use and configure CSPM tools to assess cloud workloads for compliance in CI/CD environments.
- Assess, implement, automate, and document cloud security solutions and processes for Microsoft Azure and AWS.
- Integrate enterprise security standards, policies, configurations, and architectures into application, platform, and infrastructure deployment pipelines.
- Analyze workloads for operational security alignment before production deployment and ensure application security posture.
- Collaborate with cloud architects, the SOC, Cloud Product, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps teams.
- Refine backlog tickets, define priorities and sizing, participate in planning, and contribute to roadmap development.
- Provide production engineering support, implementation documentation, operational transition support, and mentorship to junior team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or a comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 5+ years of industry-relevant experience is typically required for this level.
- Deep experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud services in an enterprise environment.
- Thorough understanding of cloud security best practices and experience implementing security controls for public cloud workloads.
- Experience performing security gap analysis on cloud services or cloud infrastructure.
- Proficiency in one or more scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Expertise with Git and branching workflows.
- Experience testing security controls for effectiveness.
- Expertise in SQL or SQL-type query languages.
- Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, project leadership, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred certifications include Azure Fundamentals AZ-900, Azure Security Engineer Associate AZ-500, and AWS Cloud Security Engineer.
