Responsibilities
- Own infrastructure for ML training and serving, model versioning, deployment, rollback, and production operation.
- Build scalable pipelines for computer vision workloads processing 11 million images per day across cameras and roadside sensors.
- Develop cloud and edge deployment paths for models running on roadside hardware, including updates and operational monitoring.
- Create monitoring that detects model degradation and drift and support updates or retraining to maintain model correctness.
- Write production-quality code and build reliable pipelines, observability, and operational tooling.
- Participate in a thorough interview process including 3–4 interviews and a final paid work trial.
Requirements
- 2–6 years of software engineering experience building and running production systems, such as infrastructure, backend services, or ML platforms.
- Strong production engineering fundamentals, including reliable systems, pipelines, deployment, observability, and operational tooling.
- Ability to write production-quality code and learn quickly; the team primarily uses Python and TypeScript.
- Understanding of, or willingness to learn, how ML models are trained and evaluated well enough to debug them in production.
- Preferred experience deploying, monitoring, or retraining ML models; deploying to edge or resource-constrained hardware; or operating self-managed servers instead of fully managed cloud services.
