Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, quality, and business disciplines to meet product performance, cost, schedule, manufacturability, quality, and reliability targets.
- Analyze, decompose, and define product and process requirements for product development, sustaining, and R&D activities.
- Plan, estimate, prioritize, and manage work to support project schedules and budgets.
- Design, develop, analyze, and review embedded software and related product documentation.
- Ensure full traceability from customer specification requirements to software code.
- Perform requirements, design, and code analysis to verify compliance with standards, guidelines, and customer requirements.
- Review verification output across programs for compliance with procedures and customer standards.
- Apply Airborne Software guidelines under DO-178 and support software planning, requirements management, validation, verification, and certification.
- Use problem-solving processes, documentation, tools, and analyses to identify root causes and corrective actions.
- Support continuous process improvement activities, including Kaizen and 5S practices.
- Participate in Integrated Product Team activities and communicate technical information through reports, presentations, analyses, and correspondence.
- Travel occasionally to customers and outside test laboratories for technical meetings, design reviews, testing support, and seminars.
Requirements
- 5 to 8+ years of relevant work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline; a master’s or PhD is preferred.
- Expert knowledge of embedded software for aerospace applications and DO-178 guidelines, including planning, requirements management, code generation, validation, verification, and certification.
- Strong experience with high-level programming languages such as C/C++ and Assembly language.
- Experience with aerospace communication interfaces including ARINC429, RS232, CAN, and AFDX.
- Experience with software simulators and emulators, data load functions, digital design, and scripting languages such as Perl, VB, and ASP.
- Experience with requirements simulation tools such as MATLAB with Simulink or SCADE.
- Experience with structural coverage analysis tools such as CodeTest or LDRA.
- Expert knowledge of requirements management tools such as DOORS.
- Expert knowledge of configuration management tools such as Synergy or PVCS and problem-tracking tools.
- Ability to work independently with minimal to no supervision in a collaborative cross-functional team.
- Must qualify as a US Person for positions requiring access to controlled data or information under ITAR.
