Responsibilities
- Operate, manage, and upgrade Kubernetes and container-based platforms across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
- Build secure and reliable networking, including service-to-service communication and hybrid deployment connectivity.
- Provide fast, reliable CI/CD pipelines, gradual and ring-based deployments, fast rollbacks, and on-premises delivery capabilities.
- Implement observability libraries, telemetry ingestion, dashboards, and diagnostic capabilities for product teams.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and provide secure, compliant, reusable, and portable infrastructure components.
- Build and evolve Genetec’s Internal Developer Portal and reduce friction through developer self-service tooling.
- Develop reliable backend services, automation, internal tools, and intuitive user interfaces for developer productivity.
- Define reusable standards, abstractions, and paved paths while collaborating closely with product and platform teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience in platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or a similar role.
- Strong technical fundamentals and experience with one or more platform engineering areas such as Kubernetes, cloud or on-premises infrastructure, automation, networking, observability, or distributed systems.
- Experience building backend services and automation with languages such as Go or C#.
- Ability to work collaboratively with experienced engineers in an evolving environment with changing priorities.
- Fluency in French and English, both verbally and in writing.
- Preferred experience includes Flux, Argo CD, SPIFFE/SPIRE, OIDC, mTLS, Cilium, Envoy Gateway, Istio, Prometheus, Grafana, Tempo, Loki, Backstage, Terraform, Crossplane, SRE practices, software supply chain security, and large-scale distributed systems.
