Base Salary
$157k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, productionize, and maintain APIs, services, and systems using Ruby, React, TypeScript, and other programming languages.
- Develop large-scale billing features and collaborate with engineers and cross-functional partners.
- Analyze user needs, feedback, product requirements, cost, and time constraints to define technical specifications.
- Implement technical designs, unit tests, functional tests, and integration tests.
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, processes, and operational excellence while participating in on-call rotations.
- Debug complex systems, identify root causes across service components, and perform latency analysis.
- Write user-facing documentation and technical integration guides.
- Mentor and onboard new hires.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in Software Engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience working with Ruby, React, TypeScript, Java, and Golang.
- At least 2 years of experience using SQL for data analysis.
- At least 2 years of experience with API development, emergency response, and debugging production issues across services.
- At least 2 years of experience performing latency analysis and designing architecture and system design proposals.
- At least 2 years of experience writing user-facing documentation and technical integration guides.
- At least 2 years of experience translating business needs into software requirements and designs and implementing industry-standard design patterns.
