Base Salary
$172k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the target architecture and long-term technical direction for the HealthShare platform.
- Drive evolution toward reusable, multi-tenant-capable, cloud-deployable, operationally manageable platform services.
- Establish architectural standards and review major technical designs across teams.
- Lead architecture for multi-tenancy, deployment, observability, provisioning, monitoring, diagnostics, fault isolation, and lifecycle management.
- Guide healthcare interoperability architecture involving data exchange, transformation, normalization, orchestration, and standards alignment.
- Partner with Product Management to align architecture, roadmap sequencing, delivery priorities, and product economics.
- Identify and reduce technical debt affecting scalability, manageability, delivery speed, upgradeability, and product consistency.
- Mentor senior engineers and architects and raise the quality and consistency of technical decision-making.
Requirements
- Deep experience with InterSystems HealthShare architecture and engineering.
- Strong understanding of InterSystems IRIS and HealthShare platform patterns for service design, interoperability, deployment, and lifecycle management.
- Proven experience designing enterprise healthcare systems with substantial interoperability requirements.
- Strong understanding of HL7 v2, FHIR, CDA/C-CDA, and related healthcare integration patterns.
- Experience evolving existing platforms to improve adoption, simplify upgrades, and reduce operating burden.
- Experience defining or guiding architecture for multi-tenant and operationally scalable systems.
- Demonstrated ability to influence across teams and functions at a senior technical level.
- Strong judgment balancing architectural rigor with delivery realities and product economics.
- Experience guiding the use of AI coding assistants to improve productivity and quality.
- Experience using agentic workflows in the DevOps pipeline.
- Experience incorporating generative AI into commercial products.
