Responsibilities
- Lead Bluetooth and Wi-Fi stack bring-up and integration on Automotive Android/AOSP systems.
- Integrate and customize Vendor HAL, Supplicant HAL, and Hostapd HAL interfaces using applicable AIDL/HIDL mechanisms.
- Implement IVI connectivity features and Bluetooth/Wi-Fi audio and video streaming use cases.
- Debug and optimize range, throughput, stability, coexistence, latency, and interoperability in automotive environments.
- Support Android platform upgrades, CTS/CDD compliance readiness, Bluetooth SIG qualification, and Wi-Fi certification activities.
- Maintain secure pairing, encryption behavior, OTA update strategies, firmware and stack patches, and lifecycle updates.
- Own defect triage and root-cause analysis across framework, HAL, driver, and firmware boundaries.
- Collaborate with chipset vendors, system integrators, test teams, and platform teams to resolve integration issues.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in Automotive Digital Cockpit Solutions is required.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
- Hands-on experience with Android platform/AOSP development and system-level debugging across framework, services, and native layers.
- Strong knowledge of Bluetooth architecture, profiles, use cases, and the Android Bluetooth stack.
- Strong knowledge of Wi-Fi modes, standards, Wi-Fi Aware/RTT concepts, and Android Wi-Fi architecture.
- Experience integrating Wi-Fi Vendor, Supplicant, and Hostapd HAL surfaces and familiarity with AIDL/HIDL.
- Experience with A2DP, ARCVP, HFP/HSP, and BLE GATT/GAP.
- Understanding of RTP/RTSP, TCP/UDP, multicast/unicast streaming, DLNA, Miracast, AirPlay, and Chromecast.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Java; Kotlin is beneficial.
- Experience with Android/system debugging tools, Bluetooth qualification tooling such as sniffers and PTS, Wi-Fi certification processes, and test labs or automation harnesses.
- Knowledge of coexistence and interference mitigation, RF/performance issue triage, Bluetooth audio codecs, network performance tuning, and latency optimization.
- Experience supporting Android platform upgrades and compatibility requirements.
