Base Salary
$125k - $222k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain reliable, correct, and fresh data ingestion across diverse upstream sources.
- Develop and operate the critical-path query infrastructure used throughout the product.
- Create dashboards, geographic views, log and simulation playback, and domain-specific physical-AI visualizations.
- Build agentic analytics architecture that can understand user intent and deliver answers, charts, and dashboards through natural language.
- Improve data discoverability and governance so users and agents can understand available data, provenance, and usage.
- Manage the dataset lifecycle to keep the data lakehouse healthy and performant as volumes scale.
- Build data-wrangling and transformation tools that support custom preparation and ETL flows within the product.
- Own platform systems end to end and make architectural decisions that shape the Insights platform.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of industry experience.
- Experience building production data infrastructure, platform engineering systems, or distributed systems.
- Experience with large-scale data processing and production-scale query execution.
- Strong backend engineering fundamentals, including API design, service reliability, query optimization, distributed-system trade-offs, telemetry, and monitoring.
- Experience with data lakehouse architectures, table formats, or query federation is a strong plus.
- Ability to work across storage and query engines, APIs, and product-facing tooling.
- Familiarity with observability through metrics, alerting, and operational health monitoring for data systems.
- Experience developing, testing, and shipping software with coding agents.
- Experience with LLM tool use, agentic workflows, or semantic layers for natural-language interfaces is a bonus.
- Exposure to multimodal data, geospatial systems, or autonomous-vehicle and robotics tooling is a bonus.
