Responsibilities
- Deliver new features, enhancements, and bug fixes for an ultra-low-latency algorithmic trading platform.
- Participate in technical analysis, design, data analysis and mapping, development, testing, and the full project life cycle.
- Collaborate with business, development, QA, support, quantitative, and global regional teams to define and deliver solutions.
- Provide L2 and L3 production support, application testing, maintenance releases, and rapid resolution of user and production issues.
- Contribute to architecture, design decisions, code reviews, software delivery best practices, documentation, and development standards.
- Own hands-on delivery across development, testing, support, and implementation of new systems or upgrades when needed.
- Act as a technical and functional contact for internal and external clients and other support teams.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of investment banking, capital markets, financial markets, and local market characteristics.
- Experience with exchange connectivity, FIX, algorithmic trading, or other trading systems.
- Excellent Core Java skills and experience with high-performance messaging, multithreading, memory management, TCP/UDP networking, and performance optimization.
- Very strong understanding of concurrency and synchronization, with exposure to distributed systems, message-oriented architecture, and event-driven systems.
- Prior design and development experience with algorithmic trading or other equity-market trading systems.
- Strong analytical, communication, leadership, self-management, prioritization, and initiative skills.
- Ability to work professionally and collaboratively with global teams across geographies.
