Responsibilities
- Manage software requirements and write or validate Software Requirements Specifications for aircraft engineering and logistics support systems.
- Develop software source code and define development directives for other developers.
- Integrate third-party software by identifying interface requirements and optimized integration solutions.
- Define and optimize software design and coding environments, including client/server resource allocation, license management, and virtual test environments.
- Maintain and update the software development toolchain and software build configuration control throughout development and release.
- Define software testing strategies and expand the use of automated testing tools.
- Assign software testing directives and strategies, and report progress, issues, and recovery actions.
- Coordinate with a team of approximately ten specialists, the Software Team Lead, and the Product Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science-related engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience in software development for avionics ground systems.
- Experience developing software with .NET and proficiency in C#, C++, Sensetalk, and Python.
- Experience with IBM DOORS, Rational Publishing Engine, IBM EWM, Keysight Eggplant Functional Studio, Microsoft Visual Studio, ReSharper DOT Ultimate, SQL Developer, Git, and VSCode.
- Knowledge of interfacing with major database management systems, such as Oracle.
- Experience developing applications for web and on-premise architectures and knowledge of Microsoft operating systems.
- Preferred knowledge of avionics and general systems used to maintain aircraft operational efficiency.
- Ability to identify software production improvements through technology scouting and state-of-the-art analysis.
- Strong teamwork, organizational, planning, problem-solving, learning, and cross-cultural communication skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English at B2 level or above.
- Availability for short business trips.
