Responsibilities
- Lead Lighthouse’s frontend platform initiatives and accelerate the migration from Ember to React.
- Build tooling, education, guardrails, and workflows that improve frontend development speed and quality.
- Own AI-assisted frontend tooling and improve the frontend harness for safe engineering and AI-agent contributions.
- Strengthen the shared design system and establish foundations for generative user interfaces.
- Set direction for complex initiatives, create actionable plans, document decisions, manage delivery, and communicate progress.
- Partner with product engineers and solution architects to understand needs, drive adoption, and provide education and support.
- Invest in shared frontend foundations, cloud infrastructure, and delivery pipelines.
Requirements
- Senior-level frontend engineering experience with the ability to independently turn ambitious goals into plans and delivered outcomes.
- Strong professional experience with React and TypeScript.
- Expert fluency with at least one AI development tool, including understanding its failure modes and how to create effective context, workflows, and guardrails.
- Experience with shared tooling, cloud infrastructure, and delivery pipelines beyond application code.
- Strong project-management, communication, documentation, and cross-team collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience in product engineering, design systems, reusable product experiences or AI-generated interfaces, and large-scale framework migrations.
