Base Salary
$181k - $271k/yr
Responsibilities
- Create software and firmware test plans, requirements traceability matrices, and test coverage aligned with feature requirements.
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated software and firmware test suites at functional, integration, and system levels.
- Perform manual testing of Qualcomm hardware and software installation and deployment in mobile, compute, and automotive environments.
- Support quality and release engineering processes, including continuous integration and continuous deployment.
- Support production software readiness, customer use cases, workload analysis, workload creation, bring-up, debugging, and diagnostics.
- Validate operating-system and customer usage environments while identifying power and performance improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 6+ years, master's degree and 5+ years, or PhD and 4+ years of software engineering or related work experience.
- At least 3 years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Preferred qualifications include 8+ years of software/firmware validation experience and at least 5 years focused on data center servers.
- Strong software and firmware test automation experience, programming skills in C or Python, and experience creating automated test cases for server platforms.
- Experience with Ubuntu Server, RHEL, SUSE, similar operating systems, or Windows Server.
- Experience validating reference platform requirements across component, integration, functional, and system levels.
- Experience with BIOS/UEFI, BMC firmware, x86, ARM64, or RISC-V 64-bit server platforms is desirable.
