Base Salary
$181k - $271k/yr
Responsibilities
- Create software and firmware test plans with requirements traceability and test coverage.
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated software and firmware test suites for functional, integration, and system-level validation.
- Manually test installation and deployment customer experiences across mobile, compute, and automotive environments where appropriate.
- Help establish quality engineering and release engineering processes emphasizing continuous integration and continuous deployment.
- Support production-level software readiness through customer use cases, workload analysis, workload creation, platform bring-up, debugging, and diagnostics.
- Validate operating-system and customer-usage environments while identifying power and performance enhancement opportunities.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, and other engineering teams to validate reference-platform requirements and features.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 6+ years of software engineering or related experience; or a master's degree plus 5+ years; or a PhD plus 4+ years.
- 3+ years of work experience with a programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Preferred: 8+ years of software or firmware validation experience and at least 5 years of software test engineering focused on data center servers.
- Preferred: strong software and firmware test automation experience, server-platform test-case development, and support for bring-up and production software releases.
- Preferred: extensive experience with Ubuntu Server, RHEL, SUSE, similar operating systems, or Windows Server.
- Preferred: experience integrating BIOS/UEFI, BMC firmware, and operating systems on x86, ARM64, or RISC-V server platforms.
- Preferred: understanding of server firmware standards, open-source implementations, and specifications for ARM64-based servers.
