Responsibilities
- Build and improve the organization’s DevSecOps and Application Security strategy.
- Partner with engineering leads and application teams to implement DevSecOps, AppSec, and secure software development lifecycle practices.
- Assist application teams with onboarding security tools and technologies and troubleshoot vendor and platform integration issues.
- Triage SAST and SCA vulnerabilities with development teams and support remediation of application security vulnerabilities.
- Deliver security reporting through dashboards and metrics.
- Develop and maintain AppSec and DevSecOps documentation and support audits by providing documentation to close findings.
- Continuously improve DevSecOps, Application Security processes, and tooling.
- Provide technical support for projects and deliver assigned tasks through completion.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
- Six years of relevant experience.
- Hands-on experience in application security, software development, build and release management, SSDLC, and security process automation within CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with SAST, DAST, SCA, and container security.
- Experience developing software with technologies such as Java, .NET, Python, and Node.js.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS.
- Experience with application security tooling, modern CI/CD, and DevSecOps practices.
- Experience partnering with development communities to promote application security best practices and tooling without direct authority.
- Experience with automation and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Kubernetes is valuable.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code principles and hybrid-cloud deployment and management automation is beneficial.
- Current information security certification such as CISSP, or Security+ or another cybersecurity certification.
- Strong technical solutioning, communication, prioritization, and project management abilities.
