Responsibilities
- Build enterprise-grade, reliable, and secure software services at cloud scale.
- Develop security tooling and automation using Python and Java.
- Detect and remediate vulnerabilities in Snowflake’s large-scale distributed systems.
- Work on application security, cloud and infrastructure security, security engineering, threat detection and response, or compliance and governance.
- Apply algorithms and ML/AI techniques to threat detection and security problems.
- Develop cloud security posture and IAM controls and support compliance automation and policy enforcement.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to deliver customer-facing security features.
Requirements
- Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university program during the internship.
- Desired fields include Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- Required coursework includes algorithms, data structures, and operating systems.
- Recommended coursework includes information security, cryptography, cloud computing, database systems, or distributed systems.
- Strong programming skills in Python or Java are required.
- Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms is required; familiarity with ML/AI concepts is a plus.
- Must demonstrate problem-solving ability, ability to learn quickly, teamwork experience, curiosity, and passion for security and technology.
- Working proficiency in English is required.
