Base Salary
$120k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and improve scalable, highly reliable services.
- Improve engineering systems and practices for services operating in complex cloud environments.
- Design and automate service-scale features and customer requirements.
- Investigate pre-production and production issues and implement and deploy fixes.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, typically one week every 6–8 weeks, within a secure facility.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
- Coding experience in one or more of C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information based on an SSBI with Polygraph.
- Ability to satisfy Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements before and after hire.
- U.S. citizenship verification due to citizenship-based legal restrictions.
- Preferred: master’s degree and 6+ years of experience, or bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: knowledge of CI/CD concepts and Git.
- Preferred: exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization technologies.
- Preferred: experience building and supporting large-scale production services, including logging, monitoring, alerting, and measuring reliability and availability.
- Preferred: communication and collaboration skills for working with Software Engineers, Program Managers, Security Researchers, and Data Scientists.
Benefits
- The typical U.S. base pay range is USD $119,800–$234,700 per year; San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area ranges are USD $160,200–$261,000 per year.
