Base Salary
$78k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, document, create, and maintain highly available cloud-focused systems.
- Build and maintain developer toolchains, CI/CD pipelines, reusable workflows, automation, and platform components.
- Automate provisioning of non-production environments for application development and testing.
- Implement and operate container orchestration platforms, including Kubernetes.
- Design and manage centralized monitoring and observability solutions using tools such as Datadog, Splunk, and Sentry.
- Partner with application teams to improve developer enablement, delivery velocity, feedback cycles, and continuous experimentation.
- Contribute to platform architecture evolution and recommend technology improvements.
- Provide tier 2 and 3 escalation support for related issues and questions.
- Mentor less senior team members and improve team processes and productivity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related area of study.
- 5+ years of hands-on Platform Engineering, DevOps, or SysOps/SRE experience with demonstrated people and thought leadership.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with cloud-native solution architectures and platform support, including cybersecurity, infrastructure as code, and observability.
- Hands-on ability to contribute to platform engineering solutions.
- Expertise in cloud-native automation strategies, including pipelines, infrastructure as code, and test suites.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
- Experience implementing infrastructure as code; Terraform is preferred.
- Experience using GitHub and YAML-based CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience implementing and operating container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Ability to collaborate across technology teams with a developer-enablement mindset.
- Experience integrating SAST and SCA vulnerability-management tooling with an SDLC toolchain.
- Experience using generative AI tooling for software development and testing productivity.
- Expertise scripting with Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
