Responsibilities
- Enhance software functionality and architecture while supporting existing applications.
- Configure and customize commercial off-the-shelf applications, develop reports, write scripts, and test applications.
- Provide technical support to clients, troubleshoot desktop applications and hardware IT issues, maintain hardware, and respond to customer requests.
- Gather functional requirements, translate customer needs into technical requirements, and document processes.
- Design software tools and subsystems using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, and CASE tools.
- Manage software development and support processes, estimate costs and schedules, and review and refine existing programs.
Requirements
- AS or AA degree in a relevant discipline plus at least 2 years of directly related experience.
- Experience troubleshooting hardware IT issues and desktop applications.
- Experience gathering IT requirements and translating customer needs into technical requirements.
- Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle and software architecture concepts.
- Process documentation, technical writing, analytical skills, and critical-thinking skills.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance.
- .NET development and SQL experience are desired.
