Responsibilities

  • Define test strategy, performance quality gates, and automated SDLC processes from testing through deployment and validation.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot deployment issues across environments, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.
  • Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and end-to-end test frameworks.
  • Create and maintain test plans and test cases for microservices, including edge-case coverage.
  • Collaborate with engineering groups on integration testing and improve testing environments.
  • Evaluate and verify safe deployment and rollback requirements.
  • Write and maintain scripts to automate platform service deployments.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Python and Pytest and a good understanding of modern testing methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Perl and Go, with debugging experience.
  • Understanding of x86 and ARM architectures.
  • Knowledge of Debian packaging, apt, and dependency management.
  • Strong Linux fundamentals, especially performance tuning, plus Bash and scripting fundamentals.
  • Understanding of virtualization and containerization.
  • Experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and SaltStack.
