Responsibilities
- Lead technical design and architecture for complex features across the business intelligence platform.
- Own end-to-end feature releases, platform enhancements, and system optimization initiatives.
- Architect and implement scalable cloud-based data services, APIs, ETL pipelines, and user interfaces.
- Build backend systems supporting analytics, reporting, and complex data queries at scale.
- Design interactive dashboards and UI platforms for data visualization and business intelligence.
- Drive architectural decisions, performance optimization, scalability, reliability, and engineering best practices.
- Define and maintain test strategies, coding standards, design patterns, and quality practices.
- Support healthcare security, compliance, data governance, and information security procedures.
- Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers through reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with product, data science, analytics, and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- Minimum four years of software development lifecycle experience.
- Strong Python backend development experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software architecture.
- Production experience building React and TypeScript/JavaScript applications and modern frontend state management.
- Hands-on AWS experience, including services such as Athena, S3, DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, and CloudWatch.
- Experience building data pipelines, ETL processes, or analytics platforms.
- Proficiency with testing frameworks such as pytest, Jest, Cypress, JUnit, Mocha, or Cucumber.
- Experience with NoSQL technologies such as DynamoDB or MongoDB.
- Advanced SQL knowledge and query optimization for large datasets and analytical queries.
- Experience with Tableau APIs and business intelligence tool integrations.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and DevOps practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred experience includes React and TypeScript, microservices, distributed systems, healthcare or life sciences, technical leadership, mentoring, and engineering culture improvements.
