Base Salary
$265k - $378k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the machine learning technical strategy for Spotify Home.
- Work on recommender systems, generative models, and user intent understanding.
- Lead hands-on development of ML models and systems from prototyping to production.
- Provide senior-level technical leadership across multiple teams.
- Design, build, evaluate, and iterate on large-scale ML systems.
- Partner with product, design, and user research to translate UX goals into ML systems.
- Drive best practices in experimentation and model lifecycle management.
- Help evolve Home toward more contextual and generative experiences.
- Collaborate with platform teams to leverage shared models and infrastructure.
- Mentor senior engineers and influence technical standards.
Requirements
- Deep background in machine learning and recommender systems.
- Extensive experience building and operating large-scale ML systems in production.
- Comfortable working across the full ML stack: data, modeling, evaluation, and serving.
- Hands-on experience with transformer-based models and generative approaches.
- Production experience with languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Strong systems thinker with an understanding of latency and scalability.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and lead high-impact initiatives.
- Clear and effective communication skills across various teams.
- Strong bias to action with a focus on building prototypes and MVPs.
- Demonstrated success in leading complex technical initiatives.
