Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for the Media Services platform powering real-time voice communication across Fortnite and the Epic Games ecosystem.
- Set technical direction for Epic’s WebRTC-based products and implement features from design through final delivery.
- Work with multiple Epic Games teams on WebRTC integration and hands-on feature development.
- Architect, develop, and continuously improve WebRTC client and server stacks across platforms.
- Investigate and evaluate technologies to advance real-time communication services.
- Drive timelines, resolve technical blockers, and deliver projects with a high degree of autonomy.
Requirements
- Highly proficient in C++ with strong command of performance-critical systems.
- Deep understanding of WebRTC signaling concepts, protocols, and architecture.
- Proven experience debugging and optimizing WebRTC stacks at scale.
- Experience designing and maintaining C APIs for broad platform distribution.
- Familiarity with build systems such as GN and Ninja.
- Ability to independently own and deliver complex, long-horizon engineering projects.
- Strong communication skills and a track record of cross-team alignment and technical decision-making.
- Leadership experience is a plus.
