Base Salary
$149k - $199k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices for data labeling and annotations.
- Architect, build, and maintain scalable data-processing and cloud ETL pipelines for autonomy datasets.
- Own highly available backend services and APIs that store and expose terabytes of data.
- Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders on objectives, timelines, deliverables, and execution plans.
- Design and develop monitoring and observability services for MLOps data-service pipelines.
- Mentor junior engineers and improve software development and code quality through pairing sessions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience, with Python preferred and relevant experience with Java or Go.
- 5+ years of web backend development experience with REST APIs and microservices.
- 3+ years of AWS cloud experience, including services such as DynamoDB, API Gateway, EKS, Lambda, OpenSearch, Redshift, and S3.
- 3+ years of data engineering experience with AWS Step Functions, Airflow, or Prefect.
- Experience working in cross-functional development teams, including quarterly roadmap design.
- Hands-on experience with Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or comparable AI coding tools.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to mentor junior engineers.
- BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field.
- Preferred experience includes Ray, Beam, Spark, Docker containerization, or the autonomous-driving industry.
