Responsibilities
- Identify and define necessary application system enhancements.
- Write basic code, use scripting tools, and conduct application testing and debugging.
- Analyze applications and recommend or implement programming solutions.
- Develop working knowledge of information systems, application development, network operations, database administration, systems administration, data center operations, and PC-based applications.
- Consult with users, clients, and technology groups regarding issues and recommend solutions.
- Assess risk, support compliance, and escalate, manage, and report control issues transparently.
- Serve as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in the financial-services industry.
- Intermediate experience in an applications development role and experience in at least one area of applications development.
- Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications.
- Comprehensive knowledge of programming and testing, with basic knowledge of the organization, business, and policies.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or changing requirements.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
