Responsibilities
- Design and implement governed data products using SAP BTP Datasphere Spaces, shareable models, and semantic views.
- Build semantic models with clear entities, measures, hierarchies, and lineage-friendly structures for analytics and AI.
- Create retrieval-grounded LLM applications over Datasphere models and SAP and non-SAP enterprise sources.
- Engineer retrieval strategies that respect domain boundaries, freshness requirements, access controls, and compliance needs.
- Support hybrid warehouse modernization using SAP BW models and Datasphere/BW bridge transition patterns.
- Implement Bronze/Silver/Gold layered data architectures with cleansing, validation, and reproducible transformations.
- Build agentic data applications that plan, call query/metadata/lineage tools, retrieve context, and generate cited answers.
- Implement prompt templates, tool schemas, safe action boundaries, deterministic checks, and fallback behaviors.
- Establish evaluation loops, regression suites, behavior tests, and telemetry for conversational analytics and data agents.
- Collaborate with business, governance, and platform teams and develop reusable delivery patterns and accelerators.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience.
- 15 years of full-time education.
- Required expertise in SAP BTP Datasphere, including data modeling, Spaces, sharing patterns, and enterprise semantic design.
- Strong data warehousing fundamentals and ability to translate business domains into governed analytical models.
- Hands-on experience building with LLMs and RAG, including retrieval, grounding, prompt and tool design, and evaluation.
- Solid software engineering fundamentals, including testability and reliable integrations.
- Preferred experience with SAP BW bridge-style migration and modernization patterns.
- Preferred experience implementing Bronze/Silver/Gold layered architectures for analytics delivery.
- Familiarity with vector search and embedding pipelines for external AI retrieval components.
