Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery with military, agency, and institutional users to understand mission needs, workflows, and constraints.
- Design solution architectures combining LiveEO data access, AI analytics, and customer-system integrations.
- Run tailored demos, workshops, proofs of concept, pilots, and field trials with clear success criteria.
- Translate customer and pilot requirements into product and technical requirements and ensure handoff to operational delivery.
- Write and review technical tender volumes, framework responses, direct-contract proposals, EDF proposals, Horizon Europe proposals, and ESA proposals.
- Address security, data-handling, accreditation, and interoperability requirements.
- Act as the technical contact for prime contractors and partners and define interfaces and integration approaches.
- Build reusable demo assets, reference architectures, and technical collateral while representing government-user needs internally.
Requirements
- 5–10+ years of experience in solutions engineering, pre-sales, solutions architecture, or technical consulting, ideally in defence and security with space or intelligence focus.
- Proven experience supporting government or defence opportunities through discovery, demos, pilots, and bids.
- Hands-on experience with geospatial data and tooling, including EO/SAR imagery, GIS, OGC standards, and APIs.
- Working knowledge of Python or a similar language for prototypes, demos, and data analysis.
- Experience writing technical sections of tenders or funding proposals.
- Ability to connect operational needs, technical architecture, and commercial outcomes and communicate with operators, engineers, and executives.
- Must be eligible to obtain security clearance in Germany and be fluent in English and German.
- Willingness to travel approximately 30%.
- Military, intelligence, national security, prime-contractor integration, C2/C4ISR, sovereign cloud, on-premise or air-gapped deployment, pilot-scaling, innovation-unit, or additional European-language experience is a plus.
