Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and operate scalable backend services for the Rakuten Coupon platform.
- Translate product requirements into elegant technical solutions and articulate architectural trade-offs.
- Mentor junior team members and help them develop their capabilities.
- Collaborate with relevant organizations as a technical leader.
- Maintain high-quality, reliable services that provide strong customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 8 years of experience with Java and SQL for MySQL.
- Solid knowledge of service-oriented architecture and ability to explain architectural choices and trade-offs.
- Strong understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems.
- Experience developing and maintaining large-scale B2C applications.
- Experience designing APIs, including REST APIs.
- Experience with the Spring framework.
- Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ability to work in globally distributed Agile development teams.
