Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services powering lending and credit products.
- Build and maintain secure, scalable, well-documented APIs that enable clients to embed and consume credit products.
- Lead design reviews, advise on systems architecture, mentor engineers, and uphold code quality and technical standards.
- Champion resilient distributed-systems design to ensure reliability and performance at global enterprise scale.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver lending solutions.
- Promote automated testing, code review, and monitoring practices for platform stability, scalability, and security.
- Drive improvements to platform architecture, engineering practices, and delivery efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with modern engineering practices, continuous integration, and quality engineering.
- At least 2 years of technical leadership experience mentoring engineers and leading engineering strategy definition and execution.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, object-oriented programming skills, and proven backend systems development experience.
- Experience with Java or Kotlin and the Spring or Spring Boot framework.
- Extensive experience designing and building RESTful APIs using modern API design principles and tools.
- Production experience with domain-driven design and event-driven architectures.
- Experience designing and maintaining high-throughput, low-latency, highly available distributed systems at scale.
- Cloud experience with GCP or AWS, including services such as EC2, RDS, ELB, and CloudFront, plus Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with observability tooling such as Splunk, Grafana, and Prometheus.
- Financial services, lending, payments, credit products, or SaaS platform experience is preferred.
