Base Salary

$84k - $180k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Deploy software into production environments.
  • Transition configuration-management deliverables to the appropriate production operations team.
  • Act as the gatekeeper for new in-house application releases and change management before production deployment.
  • Participate in release deployment calls and peer reviews of software configuration-management standards and methods.
  • Document and communicate release results in a timely manner.
  • Help drive defects and issues to closure through collaborative resolution.
  • Lead or co-lead internal project- or program-level process-improvement initiatives.
  • Provide process feedback and suggestions, comply with technology policies and security controls, and ensure work meets FINRA standards.
  • Informally mentor more junior staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, with at least three years of related experience, or equivalent training and/or work experience.
  • Experience with release engineering, formal software configuration/release-management environments, application release-automation products, and ticketing-system software.
  • Experience managing complex releases in a 24x7 production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of change, problem, incident, and delivery management.
  • Working knowledge of operating systems, development languages, products, and networking.
  • Strong written and verbal technical communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Ability to stay organized, manage competing priorities, learn new skills rapidly, and work in a fast-paced environment.
