Responsibilities
- Develop new features for Amazon’s Java web development framework.
- Perform security and maintenance updates to address vulnerabilities in the Java framework.
- Create testing automation to reduce the cost of maintaining the framework.
- Improve the developer experience for Amazon engineers and support framework adoption across thousands of applications.
- Experiment with GenAI and large language models to improve deployment, operations, upgrade campaigns, and service efficiency.
- Create products, features, and services from scratch in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3 or more years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
