Responsibilities
- Develop moderately complex embedded software and implement small sets of new functionality using C, C++, or other selected languages.
- Use configuration management systems, build processes, debuggers, emulators, simulators, and logic analyzers.
- Perform peer code reviews, technical root-cause analysis, corrective-action planning, and technical research.
- Estimate effort, evaluate technology options, suggest process improvements, and provide feedback on some electrical design aspects.
- Potentially serve as a technical leader or Lead Software Engineer for a derivative software project.
- Mentor less experienced Software Engineer 1 employees.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Math, Physics, or a related field, plus at least one year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency and experience developing moderately complex software in C, C++, or other selected languages.
- Proficiency with relevant software engineering tools, including configuration management systems, build processes, debuggers, emulators, simulators, and logic analyzers.
- Excellent academic performance, generally with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
- Experience with Git version control is desired.
- Wireless experience with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or VHF is desired.
