Responsibilities
- Support development of computer vision and machine learning algorithms for object detection, classification, localization, and tracking.
- Assist with writing and testing software that integrates machine learning algorithms into aircraft systems, autopilots, payloads, and robotic platforms.
- Prepare, clean, transform, visualize, and analyze datasets, including error analysis and anomaly investigation.
- Implement machine learning systems, define objectives, develop models, track performance metrics, and validate designs through experiments.
- Research and experiment with machine learning algorithms and tools and evaluate algorithm performance and deployment strategies.
- Support testing on selected datasets and data representations and help select hardware and software for model deployment.
- Help manage project resources including datasets, hardware, and time.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a BS in computer vision, machine learning, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with C/C++ and MATLAB.
- Proficiency with office productivity tools and basic troubleshooting skills for technical systems.
- Understanding of machine learning, computer vision, mathematical optimization, data mining, and predictive analytics.
- Exposure to deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and Keras is preferred.
- Familiarity with Python, scikit-learn, pandas, OpenCV, Linux, data visualization, and large datasets is preferred.
- Strong communication, teamwork, initiative, adaptability, and willingness to learn in an R&D environment are preferred.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA and current college enrollment or recent graduation are required.
