Responsibilities
- Own the technical vision, architecture, design, delivery, and operation of one or more business capabilities or technology domains.
- Design, build, test, deploy, monitor, maintain, and support full-stack web applications, APIs, integrations, distributed systems, data platforms, and cloud-native solutions.
- Develop solutions using Azure and/or AWS, containers, infrastructure as code, relational and NoSQL databases, RESTful APIs, GraphQL APIs, event-driven architectures, service integrations, and MCP-based solutions.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs, specifications, implementation plans, and production-ready deliverables across the full SDLC.
- Use observability, logging, metrics, tracing, telemetry, dashboards, alerts, incident response, and root-cause analysis to improve service reliability.
- Participate in production deployments, releases, operational support, on-call rotations, and continuous improvement of owned services.
- Lead or contribute to technical direction, design reviews, code walkthroughs, peer reviews, knowledge sharing, documentation, and architecture planning.
- Mentor junior engineers, influence engineering practices beyond a single team, and provide technical leadership for contractors or project teams.
- Apply secure engineering practices and maintain automated testing, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and DevSecOps practices.
- Use AI-assisted development tools while validating generated code, designs, documentation, and procedures through testing, peer review, and observability.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of professional experience in a production environment delivering business-critical applications from design through production support.
- Strong full-stack engineering proficiency with .NET/C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and SQL.
- Experience designing multi-tier, distributed, or cloud-native applications and working with APIs, integrations, databases, and modern delivery tools.
- Preferred experience designing and operating cloud-native platforms at scale using infrastructure as code, containerized workloads, Azure, and/or AWS.
- Preferred experience setting technical direction, adopting AI-assisted development, and shipping production LLM/GenAI features such as RAG pipelines, embeddings/vector search, prompt engineering, tool-calling, or agentic workflows.
- Preferred experience defining evaluations, monitoring, observability, guardrails, retrieval quality, cost, latency, safety, and responsible-AI practices for AI features.
- Preferred experience with SonarQube, GitHub Advanced Security, MongoDB, Grafana, Application Insights, Log Analytics, Datadog, and OpenTelemetry.
- Preferred experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership for contractors or small project teams.
- Basic knowledge of Postman, Newman, or Playwright for API and end-to-end test automation, plus performance testing practices.
