Responsibilities
- Support Qualcomm customers using Wi-Fi access point and WLAN chipsets.
- Perform end-to-end debugging and log analysis for AP bring-up, management and data paths, advanced WLAN features, and functional, performance, and stability issues.
- Troubleshoot networking and offload protocols as well as software and hardware issues.
- Collaborate with customers and global internal teams to analyze issues, resolve problems, and propagate product fixes.
- Work with marketing, product management, sales, development, and test teams worldwide.
- Provide customer support and travel abroad as needed.
Requirements
- At least 3–6 years of relevant hands-on experience in WLAN/Linux driver development, firmware development, debugging, sustenance, support, or related work.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience; alternatively, a master's degree with 3+ years or a PhD with 2+ years.
- At least 2 years of programming experience with languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- At least 1 year of experience with debugging techniques.
- Strong C/C++ programming skills and familiarity with TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, ICMP, bridging, routing, and related networking protocols.
- Experience with customer support, customer interaction, and debugging techniques.
- Experience with software development and system architecture on ARM-based Linux platforms.
- Experience with large-scale software version-control systems such as Git or Perforce.
- WLAN driver development experience is advantageous.
- Preferred experience includes software applications engineering, embedded Linux, OpenWrt, prprlos, ATF/OP-TEE, RDK-B, embedded processor platforms, and mesh networking solutions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to travel abroad.
