Base Salary
$192k - $269k/yr
Responsibilities
- Optimize MATLAB, Python, and C++ simulation models for phased-array antenna systems to reduce memory usage and runtime.
- Profile and benchmark simulation code, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement targeted improvements.
- Refactor legacy MATLAB scripts into efficient, modular, and maintainable code.
- Develop high-performance C++ algorithms for antenna and silicon modeling tasks.
- Collaborate with RF and DSP engineers to preserve simulation fidelity while optimizing physical models.
- Develop and maintain unit and integration tests for simulation model accuracy.
- Apply parallel computing, memory and data structure optimization, algorithmic complexity reduction, and MATLAB/C++ MEX integration.
- Document optimization strategies and results and support continuous integration pipelines for simulation validation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of software engineering experience with MATLAB, Python, and C++.
- Demonstrated experience profiling and optimizing computational code for speed and memory efficiency.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and memory management.
- Familiarity with numerical methods and scientific computing.
- Experience with Git or other version control systems.
- Preferred: master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- Preferred: experience with phased-array antenna systems, RF simulation, electromagnetic modeling, silicon RFIC or DSP design, MATLAB MEX files, MATLAB/C++ co-development, parallel or distributed computing, signal processing, beamforming algorithms, or aerospace, defense, or satellite communications.
