Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain robust batch and streaming data pipelines for production data science and machine learning models.
- Implement data engineering practices that ensure the quality, consistency, lineage, and reliability of training data and feature sets.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex data-feed issues to maintain uninterrupted data availability.
- Coordinate data strategy and machine learning project development with business stakeholders, data scientists, and engineering teams.
- Own the data science data development lifecycle from raw data ingestion through production model data serving.
- Work independently and communicate issue status, resolution times, and solutions clearly.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data integration and real-time streaming.
- Programming experience with Python and SQL, with Java as a potential additional language.
- Understanding of data warehousing, schema design including star and snowflake schemas and denormalization, and optimization techniques.
- Experience with distributed frameworks such as Spark or Flink.
- Experience with GCP or AWS cloud data processing solutions.
- Experience with BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, and Datastream is a plus.
- Strong spoken English, attention to detail, data-quality focus, systematic problem-solving, prioritization, and cross-disciplinary communication skills.
- A degree in a quantitative discipline such as computer science or mathematics is a nice-to-have.
- Experience in iGaming, machine learning projects, machine learning engineering, Airflow, business analysis, or requirements gathering is a plus.
