Responsibilities
- Collaborate with software development teams to integrate DevOps practices, automate controls, and improve operational excellence.
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab for repeatable build, testing, and deployment processes.
- Provision and manage scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient Azure infrastructure using Terraform or Bicep/ARM templates.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions for system health and incident response.
- Integrate vulnerability scanning, secrets management, Azure security practices, access controls, and compliance requirements into the DevOps pipeline.
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and preventative remediation.
- Support GDPR, ISO 27001, audit readiness, and related infrastructure controls.
- Provide DevOps tooling and workflow guidance to development teams and stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or a related role.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Hands-on experience with Pipelines, Repositories, and Artifacts.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure compute, networking, storage, and identity services including AAD/Entra ID.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Bicep/ARM templates.
- Proficiency with PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar scripting and automation languages.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AKS.
- Understanding of observability and MELT-related tools.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Key Vault, RBAC, VNets, NSGs, Private Endpoints, and DNS.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across development, operations, and stakeholder teams.
- Azure certifications such as AZ-104, repository migration experience, exposure to SonarQube or similar scanning tools, and experience with regulated industries or compliance frameworks are preferred.
