Responsibilities
- Document and manage cloud security architectures, including access control, network security, and data protection.
- Integrate security practices into software development processes, including code reviews, vulnerability assessments, and secure coding.
- Assess and mitigate security risks specific to AI systems.
- Ensure systems meet government security standards through audits, documentation, and accreditation activities.
- Develop and execute incident response plans, investigate breaches, and implement corrective actions.
- Promote organizational security awareness through training, communication, and best-practice guidance.
- Monitor emerging threats and vulnerabilities and implement mitigation measures.
- Support the ISSM with compliance artifacts such as topology diagrams and security implementation descriptions.
Requirements
- Knowledge of government compliance frameworks and accreditation processes, including FedRAMP, DISA Impact Level 5, and NIST 800-53.
- Experience with the DISA Cloud Security Requirements Guide and Department of War security stacks such as VDMS, VDSS, and BCAP.
- Knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and security information and event management tools.
- Experience documenting security posture and security controls through security plans, risk assessments, and incident reports.
- Familiarity with secure coding, vulnerability assessments, and vulnerability remediation.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, software security, and AI system security.
- Hands-on experience with cloud security tools such as Google Security Command Center, AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, and Tenable Products.
- Knowledge of AI/ML security assessment frameworks.
- Experience with security automation, DevSecOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a Top Secret clearance are required.
- CISSP, CCSP, or Professional Cloud Security Engineer certifications are preferred.
