Responsibilities
- Develop, test, analyze, maintain, and support software applications for new and existing systems.
- Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and brainstorming sessions.
- Create program and system documentation.
- Analyze and resolve software errors in a timely and accurate manner.
- Consult with users, architects, project leaders, and management to resolve problems and suggest alternatives.
- Identify innovations in OCR, text analytics, and NLP using ML/AI and deep learning to advance automation, knowledge discovery, decision-making, document understanding, and knowledge extraction.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least two years of coursework completed.
- Experience with RPA, machine learning, NLP, OCR/ICR, data analysis, or Java is a plus.
- Aptitude and desire for software development, with demonstrated initiative.
- Knowledge of software development principles, processes, and tools used by the IT Division.
Benefits

- In-person work arrangement in Lansing, Michigan.
- Interns may choose their start and end dates; most internships run from mid-May through mid-August.
