Responsibilities
- Drive the long-term technical direction and strategy for the Experimentation and Optimisation platform.
- Align multiple engineering teams on architectural priorities and unblock complex distributed-systems challenges.
- Collaborate with Data Science, Platform, and ML Engineering teams to shape platform development.
- Coach and mentor engineering teams while raising engineering standards and promoting continuous improvement.
- Translate requirements and architecture initiatives into clear, actionable engineering roadmaps.
- Champion best practices in code, architecture, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience building, operating, and scaling complex cloud-based distributed systems.
- Excellent programming skills in Go with deep knowledge of concurrent, memory-efficient, and low-latency backend architectures.
- Proven experience implementing, owning, and scaling experimentation systems, feature-flagging infrastructure, or similar data-intensive backend systems.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, cross-team influence, coaching, and mentorship.
- Strong presentation, communication, collaboration, and multidisciplinary technical communication skills.
- A detail-oriented, data-driven, proactive, and accountable approach to infrastructure engineering where accuracy and low latency are critical.
- Experience with adaptive experimentation machine learning, contextual bandits, Bayesian optimization, or reinforcement-learning-based allocation is a bonus.
