Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable data pipelines supporting structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Batch.
- Modernize data pipelines across on-premise and cloud environments with automation, observability, resiliency, and performance optimization.
- Design and enhance large-scale data processing systems and data lakes on Google Cloud Platform.
- Apply AI-assisted development tools for pipeline creation, code generation, testing, troubleshooting, and engineering productivity while validating outputs against enterprise standards.
- Lead or sub-lead physical data models, cloud data lake constructs, integrated data views, data solutions, and applications supporting analytics and reporting.
- Perform unit testing, support release testing, address complex technology gaps, and drive application development process and standards improvements.
- Collaborate with global, cross-functional, offshore, external, and internal stakeholders in a matrixed Agile environment.
- Maintain data quality, governance, lineage, monitoring, security, and reliability standards for trusted production data products.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, with a master’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- Typically 5+ years of experience in data, analytics, or application development.
- At least 2 years of coding proficiency in Python, Java, or SQL.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and advanced SQL for large-scale datasets.
- Strong knowledge of data architecture, relational and NoSQL databases, ETL/ELT patterns, dimensional modeling, metadata, and data quality frameworks.
- Experience designing scalable data integration and pipeline solutions with accuracy, observability, resiliency, performance optimization, and ease of consumption.
- Preferred experience with Google Cloud Platform and services including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Composer.
- Experience with big data, distributed processing, hybrid cloud and on-premise environments, automation, testing, CI/CD, and secure data handling.
- Working knowledge of business intelligence, reporting, analytics enablement, data governance, lineage, monitoring, and controls.
- Preferred experience in insurance or financial services and relevant GCP or data engineering certifications.
- Strong communication, collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and engineering judgment skills.
