Base Salary
$141k - $306k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain GitLab CI pipelines for iOS and Android, including fail-fast stages and cost-efficient test execution.
- Build smart test routing, flaky-test detection and quarantine, failure classification, and pipeline analytics.
- Automate mobile release mechanics including code signing, versioning, TestFlight and Play Console uploads, and dSYM and mapping-file management.
- Build device reservation, orchestration, compatibility, and priority-based routing systems for physical devices and emulators.
- Implement self-healing automation that detects unresponsive devices, performs remote recovery through APIs, and re-registers devices automatically.
- Use AI to identify failure patterns, predict infrastructure issues, optimize pipeline performance, and support increasing agent-authored merge-request volume.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience operating CI/CD infrastructure at scale, preferably with GitLab CI.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.
- Deep understanding of Xcode/xcodebuild, Gradle, code signing, provisioning, and multi-platform mobile builds.
- Strong Python and Bash scripting skills, including experience building internal tooling, reservation systems, health monitors, and analytics dashboards.
- Advanced proficiency with AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor.
- Experience designing autonomous, self-healing systems that detect, diagnose, and recover from failures.
- Preferred: infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent.
- Preferred: working knowledge of WiFi and BLE protocols.
- Preferred: familiarity with XCUITest, Espresso, and Appium and experience scaling CI for high-volume automated code generation.

- Estimated California annual base salary is $141,300-$305,700.

- Hybrid working generally requires office attendance Monday through Thursday, with Fridays generally flexible for remote work; some roles or locations may require five days per week in the office.

- Ability to travel up to 20% is required.
